At a time when increasing numbers of cancer patients are seeking solutions beyond conventional medicine, this powerful feature documentary follows two contributors over seven years as they turn away from expert advice and navigate a complex and often dangerous landscape of alternative treatments.
Originally self-financed and partially funded through a Kickstarter campaign raising over £40,000, the film premiered at Curzon Soho as part of the Global Health Film Festival in London in September 2022. It went on to reach the Top 10 on iTunes in Australia and received strong international reviews, including ★★★★½ from The Sydney Morning Herald, which called it “an absolute must-see.”
The Cancer Conflict has since found a global audience, resonating with viewers for its nuanced, unflinching exploration of belief, trust, and the difficult choices people make in the face of illness.
