‘I was approached by producer Piers Tempest to make a behind the scenes film about the scandals Nobu was involved in to accompany a feature fiction about his life. The man himself is so vibrant, with an incredible story, I proposed exploring the scandals through the life of the man himself. It became an epic whodunnit character study. What interested me most was uncovering that Nobu sacrificed relationships with his family in order to uncover the truth about his situation, and exploring this personal cost’.

Through interview, archive and unfolding observational storytelling, this film charts his rise, fall, and ongoing attempts to clear his name and rise again.
